2008 Sangiovese Grosso
Bright bing cherry and red licorice aromas mingle with subtle hints of cinnamon red hots and dried roses. The entry of this wine is almost delicate, with red fruit and leather flavors leading into a mid-palate that is more classic Sangiovese. The tannins are prominent and the acidity is juicy and lingering, both qualities that will benefit from a wonderful food pairing, proper aging (8-12 years) and aeration.
