2021 Sangiovese Grosso - Ciel du Cheval Vyd.

This 2021 vintage Sangiovese Grosso has all the hallmarks of a classic Sangiovese, ladened with aromas of sweet cherry, raspberry, orange peel, leather, and iron. Seditious notes of vanilla and toasty coconut expose an element of our “new world” approach to aging a larger portion (50%) of this wine in new barrique (30% French Oak/20%Acacia), yet still leaving the overall varietal character well intact. The full rich flavors of cherry, raspberry, and mocha are supported by the wine’s weight and depth, lending a pleasantly lingering quality to the flavor and texture.
